Associate Member (A.IIESMS)

The Associate Member grade is designed for early-career professionals who are beginning their journey in industrial engineering, fire safety, facilities management, safety and health, or healthcare. It is also the appropriate grade for professionals returning from a career break or retired members who wish to maintain their professional connection to the institute.

As an Associate Member, you are entitled to use the post-nominal designation A.IIESMS, demonstrating your commitment to professional development and your affiliation with Ireland’s only multi-discipline professional body spanning five specialist sectors.

Associate membership is open to individuals at any stage of their career who do not yet meet the qualification or experience requirements for higher grades. It provides a structured entry point with clear pathways to progress through Technician, Graduate Member, Member, and beyond.
