This grade is intended for experienced facilities management professionals who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to competence in building services management, asset lifecycle management, energy management, or maintenance engineering. It acknowledges a depth of knowledge and practical expertise that goes beyond the requirements of the Maintenance Engineer grade.

Certified Maintenance Engineers play a leading role within the Facilities Management Group of the Institute and are expected to contribute to the advancement of facilities management standards and practice in Ireland.
