The Southeast Regional Leaders Programme has officially launched, with An Taoiseach Micheál Martin joining Donal Nolan, Development Director of the Institute of Industrial Engineering and Safety Management Systems (IIESMS), and Edmond Connolly, South East Regional Skills Forum Manager, at the event.
This programme is designed to help professionals strengthen their leadership competencies and to support companies in building the capacity of their internal talent pool.
IIESMS is proud to contribute by providing Leadership Mentors who play a vital role in developing the next generation of business leaders across the region.
The Southeast Regional Leaders Programme is funded by Skillnet Ireland and Bausch & Lomb Ireland.
Why this matters for IIESMS members
Leadership development is especially important in the sectors represented by IIESMS. Engineering, safety, fire, facilities and healthcare professionals are increasingly expected to lead cross-functional teams, manage change, communicate technical risk and support evidence-based decision making.
By contributing leadership mentors, IIESMS helps connect professional practice with regional enterprise development. The mentoring role gives participating professionals access to practical experience, sector insight and guidance from people who understand the demands of regulated, technical and operational environments.
The Institute will continue to support initiatives that strengthen professional capability in the Southeast and create clearer pathways for emerging leaders. Members interested in mentoring, CPD or regional engagement can contact IIESMS through the main contact page for more information.
