Events and CPD Activities
IIESMS events, webinars, sector group activity and relevant external professional events for members and applicants.

IIESMS Events
IIESMS events support member learning, CPD, sector engagement and professional networking across industrial engineering, fire safety, facilities management, safety and health, and healthcare systems.
Each event listing should state whether the event is organised by IIESMS or signposted as an external event, the date, format, registration route and CPD value where applicable.
Members should keep their own CPD record for events they attend, including the event title, date, duration, topic and learning outcome.

Upcoming and Recent Events
Confirmed IIESMS events will be listed with date, location or online format, registration details, speaker information and CPD value where applicable.
The IIESMS Annual General Meeting 2026 is planned for autumn 2026 in Waterford. Full details, agenda and registration arrangements should be confirmed before members rely on the date.
External event signposting: the NAHFO Annual Conference & Exhibition 2026 is advertised by its organiser as taking place at the University of Liverpool from 8 to 10 June 2026 under the theme "Connected. Protected. Prepared: Technology at the Fire Safety Frontier". IIESMS is not the organiser; members should check the official event site before booking.
Recent event summaries should identify who organised the event, who represented IIESMS, the topic covered and whether slides, certificates or CPD evidence are available.
Presenting at IIESMS Events
IIESMS welcomes proposals from members and external experts who wish to present at events. Sharing your knowledge and experience with fellow professionals is a valuable contribution to the profession and is recognised as CPD for the presenter.
If you have expertise in a topic relevant to any of the five sector groups, contact the relevant sector committee or the Institute to propose a presentation. Provide a brief outline of your topic, its relevance to IIESMS members, and your qualifications and experience. The sector committee will review proposals and coordinate scheduling.
How Events Are Organised
IIESMS events should be planned through the relevant sector group or Council route. Event information should be clear about topic, speaker, audience, delivery format, CPD value, fees, registration, recording availability and any external organiser involved.
For external events, the website should avoid implying IIESMS delivery, endorsement or partnership unless that has been agreed. External listings should be treated as signposts for member information.
