Corporate Account Membership

IIESMS Corporate Account Membership enables organisations to invest in the professional development and recognition of their teams through a single, centrally managed account. Rather than individual employees managing their own membership independently, a corporate account provides a streamlined approach where the organisation enrols staff, manages payments, and monitors professional development under one administrative framework.

Corporate membership is designed for organisations that employ professionals across any of the five IIESMS disciplines - industrial engineering, fire safety, facilities management, safety and health, and healthcare. Whether your organisation is a manufacturing facility with industrial engineers and safety officers, a healthcare provider with fire safety managers and facilities staff, or a consultancy employing specialists across multiple disciplines, the corporate account model simplifies the management of professional membership for your team.

Each employee enrolled under a corporate account receives full individual IIESMS membership at the appropriate grade, including post-nominal designations, CPD framework access, sector group membership, and all standard member benefits. The corporate account simply centralises the administrative and billing aspects - the professional value to each individual is identical to a personal membership.

How Corporate Accounts Work

A corporate account is established through a single point of contact within the organisation - typically an HR manager, training coordinator, or department head. This contact manages the enrolment of staff, coordinates annual renewals, and serves as the liaison between the organisation and the Institute.

Enrolment Process

The organisation identifies which employees should be enrolled and the appropriate membership grade for each individual based on their qualifications and experience. Grades range from Student (EUR 30 per year) through to Fellow (EUR 325 per year), with certified discipline-specific grades available at EUR 295 per year. The standard one-time registration fee of EUR 15 applies per individual.

Grade Assessment

Each employee's grade is assessed against the same criteria as individual applicants - NFQ qualification level, relevant professional experience, and specialist competence for certified grades. The Membership Committee applies the same professional standards regardless of whether the application comes through a corporate account or individually. This consistency ensures that the corporate account is not merely a bulk discount mechanism but a genuine investment in verified professional standards.

Centralised Billing

The organisation receives a single invoice covering all enrolled employees' annual subscriptions. This simplifies procurement and budgeting processes, particularly for larger organisations enrolling staff across multiple grades and disciplines. Payments can be made annually in advance.

CPD Management

Corporate account holders can request consolidated CPD reporting for their enrolled staff, providing visibility into the team's collective professional development activity. Individual CPD records remain the responsibility of each member, but the organisational overview helps employers ensure their teams are meeting professional development obligations.

Benefits for Organisations

Corporate Account Membership delivers value at both organisational and individual levels, supporting your workforce development strategy.

Professional Workforce

Demonstrate your commitment to employing professionally recognised staff. IIESMS post-nominal designations signal verified competence to clients, regulators, and stakeholders.

Retention and Recruitment

Professional body membership is a valued employee benefit. Offering IIESMS corporate membership supports staff retention and strengthens your recruitment proposition for technical and safety roles.

Which Organisations Benefit Most

Corporate Account Membership is particularly valuable for organisations in sectors where professional standards, regulatory compliance, and workforce competence are critical:

Healthcare Providers

Hospitals, nursing homes, and designated centres employ professionals across multiple IIESMS disciplines - fire safety officers, facilities managers, safety officers, and healthcare engineers. A corporate account ensures these staff hold verified professional credentials under the Institute's rigorous standards, supporting compliance with HIQA and fire safety regulations.

Manufacturing and Industrial Operations

Manufacturing facilities employ industrial engineers, safety managers, and maintenance teams who benefit from structured professional development. IIESMS corporate membership aligns their development with NFQ levels and Lean Six Sigma certifications, supporting operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Construction and Property

Construction companies, facilities management firms, and property management organisations employ professionals whose work is governed by building control, fire safety, and workplace health and safety legislation. Corporate IIESMS membership provides a professional framework that supports regulatory compliance and demonstrates organisational commitment to professional standards.

Consultancies

Consultancy firms in fire safety, health and safety, and engineering benefit from having their professional staff hold recognised IIESMS designations. When tendering for contracts and providing expert services, the ability to cite staff members' IIESMS post-nominal designations adds credibility and competitive advantage.
