Before you apply

Use the form below after checking the grade you can evidence. You will need a current CV, completed qualification certificates or transcripts, and a clear summary of relevant professional experience.

Every member is connected to either a primary sector group or a regional committee route. Select the sector group that best reflects your work, or choose a regional committee if your work spans disciplines or you prefer local engagement.

Core grades are normally assessed by document review. Certified grades and Fellowship involve professional review and may include a 30 to 45 minute interview with assessors from the relevant discipline.

Healthcare applicants normally use the core grade pathway unless their evidence fits a certified discipline. The Membership Committee confirms the final grade after reviewing the application.

Membership Selection

Every IIESMS member is aligned to either a sector group or a regional committee as their primary engagement route. Choose whichever best matches your professional focus. If your work clearly aligns to one of the five disciplines, select the matching Primary Sector Group. If your work spans multiple disciplines, sits outside the five core sectors, or you would rather engage with peers closer to home, select a Regional Committee instead. You can also select both if appropriate.
