Membership Application
Complete your IIESMS membership application.

How to apply
Applying for IIESMS membership takes about 10 minutes. You will need your qualification certificates, a current CV, and details of your professional experience.
Core grades (Student through Fellow) are assessed on qualifications and experience. Certified grades (Fire Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Practitioner in Safety and Health) also require a professional interview of 30 to 45 minutes with two assessors from your sector group.
There is no requirement to start at the bottom. If you hold an NFQ Level 8 qualification with three years of experience, apply directly for Member. If you have four years of specialist experience, apply for a Certified grade.

What you will need
Qualification certificates or transcripts showing your NFQ level or international equivalent. A current CV listing your professional experience, roles held, and relevant projects. For certified grades: evidence of sector-specific experience in fire safety, industrial engineering, facilities management, or safety and health. The registration fee is EUR 15 (one-off). Annual subscription varies by grade from EUR 30 (Student) to EUR 325 (Fellow). Certified grades are EUR 295 per year.
