Membership first

You may remain an ordinary member at your approved core grade. Joining a specialist section or regional community is optional.

Use this form only after acceptance. Choose a section or region and describe your relevant experience or professional interest. Section participation does not award a specialist grade, committee role or additional post-nominal; each requires its own assessment.

Membership privacy information

IIESMS processes required application data to assess and administer membership. Optional marketing and directory publication are separate choices and do not affect the grade decision. Read the Privacy Policy at https://iiesms.ie/privacy before submitting.

Apply only after your IIESMS membership has been accepted. Give your current grade and membership number if known so the Institute can match your record.

Choose a section or region

Select the community you wish to join and describe the relevant experience or professional interest you would bring.

Provide relevant evidence

Attach qualification and experience evidence where required for the specialist grade or role requested. A section application alone does not confer certification.

Receive the outcome

The Institute and relevant section review the request and confirm the outcome and next steps. Your existing membership continues during this process.
