Sector Committees
Each sector group is led by a committee responsible for strategy, CPD, and engagement.

IIESMS Sector Committees
IIESMS is organised around five sector committees, each representing a distinct professional discipline. The committees are the driving force behind the Institute's work in setting professional standards, developing CPD programmes, and representing member interests to government and industry bodies.
Each committee is chaired by an experienced Fellow or senior member and meets regularly to progress sector-specific initiatives. Committee members contribute to policy submissions, organise sector events, mentor junior members, and collaborate with partner organisations on matters affecting their profession.

Sector committees are established by the National Council to represent each of the five IIESMS disciplines. Committee members are drawn from the relevant membership base and appointed based on expertise and willingness to serve.
Each sector committee is chaired by a senior member appointed by the National Council. The chair is responsible for coordinating meetings, setting agendas, and reporting back to Council on committee activities.
Sector committees typically meet on a quarterly basis, though additional meetings may be called as needed to address specific projects or issues within the discipline.
Sector committees are advisory to the National Council. Each committee chair provides regular reports and recommendations to Council, which retains decision-making authority on all Institute matters.
