Educational Qualification

Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:

  • A recognised qualification in safety and health, such as a National Certificate or Level 6 qualification on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ).
  • An equivalent qualification recognised by IIESMS.

Professional Experience

Candidates must have at least two years of relevant experience in safety and health management.

Certification Process

Fees and Membership

Members who achieve the Associate Safety and Health credential are entitled to use the designatory letters ASH.IIESMS. The fees associated with the certification process include the following:

  • Registration: €15.00
  • Grade Review Fee: €150.00
  • Practice Review: €95.00 (Alternative Route Only)
  • Report Re-assessment: €75.00 (Where applicable – Alternative Route Only)
  • Interview Assessment (online): €150.00
  • Administration Fee: 20% of the total application process fee (On successful application – The
    registration fee is refunded)
  • Annual Subscription Rates: €225.00
