As a Student Member, we offer comprehensive support throughout your studies and provide the necessary tools to improve your employability and gain a competitive edge in the workplace.

Who is eligible to become a member?

Student Membership is open to students in the engineering or science disciplines who have been certified by IIESMS or have QQI accreditation. To qualify, you must be a full-time or part-time student working towards an IIESMS or QQI-recognized qualification, and this should be your first IIESMS-recognized qualification. Proof of current study or research is required for student membership and remains valid for five years. If you are studying full-time, you can enjoy a free membership by providing proof of your current academic year course enrolment.

In addition to students, IIESMS welcomes job seekers and retirees to apply for membership. If you are currently seeking employment, are on the live register, or are over 66 years of age and have retired from active service, you are eligible to join our institution. Everyone can contribute to and benefit from our community regardless of their career stage.
